Project 3
The Tropical Santuary
This is an individual project, and we are required to build a tropical sanctuary in Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam. We have to bring one family member to the sanctuary for around 2–3 days by creating 5 spaces such as a contemplating area, a working area, a discussion area, a resting area, and a washroom. Before we create our own design, we are split into macro and micro groups. For these groups, we need to do the site analyses and site context, such as ventilation, sun path, contour, and site use alternatives diagrams. Choosing a site with a lake view to build our final tropical sanctuary and doing case studies and user studies by designing a design Furthermore, we need to do a 1:100 scale final model and draw at least 11 hand-drawn architectural drawings on A1 paper.

Reflection
Throughout Project 1, I have had a clear understanding of diagramming architectural principles.
For project 2, I gain knowledge on how to choose a site properly by using the site advantage to create a structure. Creating a limited open space and enclosed space wisely and using limited building materials to build a structure Besides, I learn how to match design principles more cleverly to structure.
In Project 3, I have learned a lot, such as how to use site context and narrative to create a structure. In this project, I get an idea by creating a presence and absence structure and putting personalities into it. Create an interesting footprint to make the user feel like they are on a different journey in the building.
